DeadSimpleTools is a platform offering straightforward web utilities with no signup required. Our philosophy: solve one problem simply, without bloat.
Current tool:
- Resume Tailor: Upload your PDF resume and provide a job URL. Our AI optimizes your CV for that specific role with better keywords, formatting, and ATS compatibility. Download the tailored PDF instantly.
More tools may be added in the future.
2. Simple Rules
We keep it simple, and we expect you to do the same:
- Don't upload illegal or harmful content (malware, viruses, offensive material, copyrighted work you don't own).
- Don't use bots or scrape our tools (automated abuse, bypassing rate limits).
- Don't try to break our service (hacking attempts, denial-of-service attacks, reverse engineering).
If you break these rules: We may block your IP address, refuse service, or take other action to protect our platform and users.
3. Payments & Credits
Free Tier:
- 2 credits per day (resets every 24 hours based on IP address)
- 1 resume tailoring = 1 credit
Paid Tier:
- $2 USD for 30 credits
- Credits do not expire
- Use credits for any tool (resume, cover letter, future features)
Payment Terms:
- All payments processed securely by Lemon Squeezy (we never see your card details).
- All sales are final—no refunds on digital credits. Credits are consumed when you generate/download output.
- If you encounter a technical error that consumes credits unfairly, contact us at support@deadsimpletools.com and we'll review case-by-case.
4. No Guarantees
Our tools are provided "as-is" with no warranties. While we aim for excellence:
- AI may make errors. Review all output before using it.
- Formatting may vary. ATS systems differ; we optimize for common standards but can't guarantee acceptance.
- No guarantee of outcomes. A tailored resume doesn't guarantee job interviews or offers.
- Service availability. We strive for uptime but may have outages, maintenance, or technical issues.
We provide tools, not career advice or professional services.
5. Liability
We provide tools "as-is" with no warranties (express or implied). We are not liable for:
- Job application outcomes (interviews, rejections, hiring decisions)
- AI errors, formatting issues, or content inaccuracies
- Data loss, service interruptions, or downtime
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if anything). For free users, liability is limited to €0.
Your career and data decisions remain your responsibility. Always review AI-generated content before using it professionally.
6. Intellectual Property & Ownership
Your Content:
- You own your resume—both the original you upload and the tailored version we generate.
- By uploading content, you confirm you have the right to use it (no copyrighted material you don't own).
- We process your resume only to provide the service, then delete it within 48 hours (see Privacy Policy).
Our Platform:
- DeadSimpleTools owns the website, software, design, and branding.
- You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our code or design.
7. We Can Change Things
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue any part of our service at any time (though we'll try to give notice for major changes).
- Update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on our homepage. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
- Adjust pricing or credit structure (existing purchased credits won't be affected).
8. Governing Law & Disputes
DeadSimpleTools is based in Italy. These terms are governed by the laws of Italy and the European Union.
Disputes:
- Any disputes will be resolved in Italian courts under Italian/EU law.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
